1 Thessalonians KJV: Chapter 2 Verse By Verse Bible Studies
After four separate recordings Isaac and I (Scotty) went through 1 Thessalonians chapter two. There was a few key matters that tend to be problematic in "churches" today. And this is said through multiple accounts of various encounters during evangelizing, which make up the better part of these studies. This is all explained by our personal testimonies regarding the same matters Paul brings up in chapter two of his first epistle to the Thessalonians.
Paul was our example as he was for the Thessalonians:
1 Thessalonians 2:1 KJV
For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:
1 Thessalonians 2:9-10 KJV
(9) For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
(10) Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
... Paul tells us to follow him 3x ...
1 Corinthians 4:16, 11:1 & Philippians 3:17
So having this instruction elsewhere in scripture we can acknowledge in 1 Thessalonians Paul is expressing to them how he was an example for them to follow. As in other epistles he expresses we are to follow him as he follows Christ. And when we follow the example Paul gave we to can be an example of the believers to others as it was written back in chapter one in 1 Thessalonians he directly tells them...
1 Thessalonians 1:6-7 KJV
(6) And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: (7) So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
And through Chapter two we get into some specifics and what the importance of being an example is for all that be born again. So please have your KJV with you as you go verse by verse with us through 1 Thessalonians 2:1-20.
