A Submissive Woman

The word "submissive" is not in scripture, but SUBMIT and SUBJECT are.

SUBMIT ~ SUBMISSIVE

SUBJECT ~ SUBJECTION

Women have commandments to be in subjection and submissive. Let's also mention OBEDIENT to this as well. To obey goes hand in hand with both these things.

OBEDIENCE, NOT HARD HEARTED OR STIFF NECKED

When a woman is submissive to her husband she is obedient to him.

I Peter 3:1 LIKEWISE, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands...6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord...

That word "likewise" is referring to a wife being like a servant. If you go back and read the previous chapter you will see that in the context (I Peter 2:18-25).

I Peter 2:18 Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

The feminist get really upset about this kind of thing. They say, it is "hate speech" because a woman must be like a servant and tend to her husband, her children, and her house. "How terrible", they say!

I saw this pointless photo recently:

Jeremiah 17:23 But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.

These woman are hard hearted and stiff necked! They resist the commandment of God that says we ought to love our husbands, love our children, and be keepers AT HOME.

Titus 2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Am I the only one that had that mindset as a lost woman? It has been a journey of renewing my mind in Christ to master this submitting thing. And I still haven't mastered it. There are times that I have a hard heart. For example, there are times my flesh outwardly is subject to the commandment of my husband, but my heart is not sweetly submitting! But you know what?? I am going to keep warring in the Spirit and through studies like these I trust the Lord will help me be the perfect submissive Biblical woman that I am commanded to be! And he will help you too!

Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

5-FOLD SUBMISSION

I. To God (James 4:7)

II. To your husband (Ephesians 5:22, 24)

III. To the saints (Ephesians 5:21)

IV. To those over you in the Lord (Hebrews 13:17)

V. To the authorities in government (Romans 13)

As women of God, we have commandments to submit FIVE TIMES over! There is absolutely no room for a stubborn and rebellious woman. We see how quick the king Ahasuerus was to remove Vashti from her office (Esther 1). It's because he had excellent council and wisdom. He knew that if Vashti remained in her office as a disobedient wife then all the women would get the same idea. Unfortunately, somewhere along in history a certain "Vashti" was not removed from her office. Now we have a land of women who think it is a shame to be a keeper at home. They loath their husbands and children (Ezekiel 16:44-45). They give them over to the public schools for Satan to train up (Proverbs 22:6; John 8:44). They divorce their husbands, plucking down their houses with their hands (Proverbs 14:1), and cause the word of God to be blasphemed (Titus 2:5). It is sad. But let that not be the case with any woman who professes godliness.
