Adorned in Modest Apparel
I Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
The way that we (men and women alike) dress should be to please the LORD, and not man.
Romans 12:1 KJV I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Caring so much about the latest fashion trends, and "hot looks" is not of God, but of the world. Let Jesus clothe you.
Matthew 6:28 KJV And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

As lost women, sure we dressed the part, push up bras, cleavage showing, holes purposefully ripped in pants, skirts above the knees, and the wicked feminist halter tops, but now that we have been born again, it is time to trust God with our clothing.
Early on when I got saved, I was asking the LORD every morning before I got dressed to clothe me. It still took about a year for me to realize that pants are NOT modest. You can see each individual butt cheek! That is NOT adorning modestly, at all! And it took a few more years for me to learn about the quality of the material. For example, sticking to durable, natural fabrics is the scriptural way to go.
Isaiah 23:18 KJV And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the Lord: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the Lord, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.
Proverbs 31:21 KJV She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22 She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. 25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.
This next quote is completely outside of scripture, but I have also read in "The English Housewife" written by Gervase Markham in 1615 (Seventeenth century) how a virtuous woman's garments should be.
"Let therefore the housewife's garments be comely, cleanly and strong, made as well to preserve the health as adorn the person, altogether without toyish garnishes, or the gloss of light colours, and as far from the vanity of new and fantastic fashions, as near to the comely imitations of modest matrons."
Can you see any connections with the word of God? I can. I notice the modest apparel and the strength of the fabric without the adorning in costly array.
There are not man-made synthetic fibers in scripture. If you haven't looked into what polyester is, or how they make rayon, nylon, or even bamboo viscose, then I suggest you do. They are not fabrics that "preserve the health". Please keep in mind that, although sticking to the fabrics mentioned in scripture is best...meaning, the God-made natural fibers like linen, cotton, or even goat's hair (cashmere) and wool will be the best for your health...it does not mean that we have any law commanding us to abstain from any certain fabrics (Romans 10:4; I Corinthians 6:12). Leviticus 19:19 KJV Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
Ezekiel 44:18 KJV They shall have linen bonnets upon their heads, and shall have linen breeches upon their loins; they shall not gird themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.
There is no bondage upon us today on what kind of MODEST clothing to wear. It just matters that it is MODEST.
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY THAT WE SHOULD WEAR?
According to the following verses, women should wear modest and feminine clothing.
Deuteronomy 22:5 KJV The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

It is really that simple. If you love the Lord, and desire to obey him because he DIED for your sins and ROSE AGAIN, then dress modestly as woman.
