Age Of Accountability

Age Of Accountability

Does "YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN" mean nothing?? (John 3:1-12)

This is a topic that many ask themselves about at some point in life when thinking about God. But the question we should also ask ourselves is, "Can I handle the truth?".
Sadly, as with other matters concerning God, people do not take his word to mean what it says and to say what it means. People allow their personal emotions and thoughts to influence their beliefs regarding God Almighty.

Some have gone on to think, "Well, Jesus said not to refuse one of these little ones" and, "God does not will that any of them perish". Then they quote the following verses.

Matthew 18:14 KJV  Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
Matthew 19:14 KJV  But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

But the thing is, God does not will that ANY SHOULD PERISH! However, not all are going to be going to heaven because of that. So that point of "suffer little children to come unto me" does not stand.

2 Peter 3:9 KJV  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Let's not forget that the wicked are estranged from the womb! And to be estranged is to be set apart from:

Psalms 58:3 KJV  The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

... defining estranged ...

Ezekiel 14:5 KJV  That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.

People also think that those whom are mentally challenged are going to heaven automatically, saying, "God preserves the simple he would not punish them", quoting the following:

Psalms 116:6 KJV  The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

The wicked children who are estranged from the womb are preserved to have a chance at salvation. The word of God tells us the law is written on our hearts, our consciences in Romans 2:14-15. Therefore those children are not guiltless. And the word of God also says that the Lord preserves the fatherless and widows too. God says he is a judge and a father to them. Are they automatically going to heaven because they are widowed or fatherless? That is absurd... This logic does not hold true, with any consistency, in the word of God.

Psalms 146:9 KJV  The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.

Psalms 68:5 KJV  A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

Jeremiah 49:11 KJV  Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.

Even with all of this, we must remember that God punishes the suckling children with the wicked throughout scripture.

Deuteronomy 32:25 KJV  The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

1 Samuel 15:3 KJV  Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

2 Chronicles 21:14 KJV  Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:

It should be no surprise when Jesus is talking about the end times that he said, "Woe unto them that are with child ... and give suck in those days". Understanding this, one would understand that God is not going to pull all the children out of the world when he pours out his wrath just because they are children. No, in fact, it will be an even more grievous time of trouble for all on the earth at that time because they will have to also endure seeing their little ones suffer.

Matthew 24:3-4 KJV  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
(4)  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
.......
Matthew 24:19 KJV  And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

As stated at the very beginning of this post, YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN. Why do we marvel at that? And why do we jump to wild conclusions to comfort ourselves apart from what we are told in the word of God?

John 3:7 KJV  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
.......
John 3:12 KJV  If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
.......
John 3:18 KJV He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Being a child that is born in the flesh does not make them saved. They must be born AGAIN. If they do not believe, they are still condemned.
