Destruction Of Sodom and Gomorrah: The Forgotten Judgments of God
Genesis 19:24-25
24 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;
25 And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
The judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah is forgotten by many or they want to be ignorant of it. It is a judgment that many sodomites remember but do not want to acknowledge that God would judge sinners in the earth.
Ezekiel 16:49-50
49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
50 And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
The month of June is celebrated as "pride month" in some countries. The same abomination that brought judgment upon Sodom and Gomorrah is being committed to day. What abomination is it? Read the scriptures and find out for yourself.
Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Sodomy. Men with men, women with women. Sodom and Gomorrha are set forth for an example of judgment upon this wickedness. God will judge in the earth and he sees all evil that occurs.
Psalms 9:16-17
16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
Psalms 58:10-11
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
