How Much Power Does Satan Have?
Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
This study is to shew the power that Satan has. The King James Bible is the word of God and gives the truth about the devil. There is a spirit that works in the world and he is walking up and down in the earth.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Satan has blinded the minds of men that are lost. Those who believe not are in darkness and are blind. We must preach the gospel to them that are lost, if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.
Acts 26:16-18
16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Here is a list of the points that Satan has power in that are covered in this study:
- Power in the earth (the god of this world, prince of this world)
- Power to transform
- Power to blind the minds of men
- Power to shew lying signs and wonders
- Power to cause infirmity
- Power to influence men
However, brethren, we should not fear the power of Satan because God has delivered us from him. Take confidence in the truth of the word of God.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
