How To Be A Holy Woman
I Peter 3:5 For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
The LORD opened my eyes and answered my question, "what made the holy women of old time holy??". The verse tells you right there. It is because they trusted in God.
There are some serious unholy Jezebels and Vashti's in the world today. They mock the holy women of old time for trusting God and obeying their husbands. They hate God and they hate the order of creation.
I Timothy 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
In this increasingly feminist world, the women believe they are the head of the marriage. Haven't you ever heard a man say about his wife, "She's the boss" or, "I just do what I'm told", "happy wife, happy life"? Scotty and I have heard these sayings before multiple different times in normal every day life. It is a common world view today because somewhere down in history a Vashti was not removed from her office. Now all the ladies of the land despise their husbands.
Esther 1:17 For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not. 18 Likewise shall the ladies of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king’s princes, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.
It takes a holy woman of God to submit to the truth of this verse:
I Corinthians 11:8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
Being a woman and understanding that the woman was made for the man, and not vise versa, is a humbling thing. A wife must obey her husband, not the other way around. Therefore, a holy woman must be a lowly woman. It can be a hard thing to do. Especially after growing up in this world where a woman is taught from a young age to be independent. Learning to trust God and be obedient to your own husband is how the women of old time were adorn. We are her daughters if we do well in this:
I Peter 3:6 Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
