Judgment Of God Through Government

Judgment Of God Through Government

God has judged man through pestilence, famine, various disasters in the earth such as a flood. However, we must not forget that God also judges man with the sword of an army meaning government.

And so when man does not want to walk in the true liberty after the judgement of God. God has proclaimed a liberty for man to the sword in time past.

Jeremiah 34:17 KJV
Therefore thus saith the LORD; Ye have not hearkened unto me, in proclaiming liberty, every one to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim a liberty for you, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

I mean scripture tells us that thrones of iniquity will come up, and frame mischief by a law... And sadly the people will love to have it so, by giving money to houses of worship yoked up with the government for tax exemption status and other subsidies. Literally government registered "churches" are having fellowship with the throne of iniquity they claim to be against, or at least separate from.

Psalms 94:20 KJV
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

This often is done because the wickedness of man, though having the knowledge of God, they have turned from it to follow their wicked ways. Swearing falsely saying Lord Lord, but their heart is far from God and his right ways. They then make laws or provide government aid to justify their own wickedness. But man is often comfortable making a compromise for conveniency so they do not rebuke it or stand for God according to the word of God. They go on relinquishing the control they have them selves in freedom giving it over to another (the government) to be controlled and provided for. Man basically will hardly want to take the responsibility if there is another way that is easier for him.
So does man judge according to the judgment of God, or after the deception of his own heart? Is there compromise in you personally or do you judge according to Gods judgment taking the responsibility to live a godly and honest life according to scripture?

Deuteronomy 32:3-6 KJV
(3) Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
(4)  He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
(5)  They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.
(6)  Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee?

... But ...

Jeremiah 5:1-2 KJV
(1) Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it.
(2)  And though they say, The LORD liveth; surely they swear falsely.

... and ...

Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
(21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(22)  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
(23)  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

And so just as Nebuchadrezzar was used as the servant of God to execute judgment by the sword... We see supposed "government overreach" through unjust laws get put in place... and the worst is yet to come still as that same government is the servant of God to execute wrath upon iniquity (evil works) bearing a sword.
Liberty to the sword.

Jeremiah 25:9 KJV
Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

Romans 13:4 KJV
For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Some of this can be considered to be deep or meaty to be understood. Notwithstanding it is all in the plain context of the word of God. The thing is just a matter of receiving the word of God to say what it means and mean what it says; instead of trying to imply a meaning to the word of God that just is not there. So take the time to hear out the matter as we cover this topic further in this video Bible study.
