Love Thy Neighbour As Thyself

Love Thy Neighbour As Thyself

The first mention of "love thy neighbour as thyself" in scripture is accompanied with rebuking and not suffering sin upon your neighbor. Read for yourself...

Leviticus 19:17-18 KJV
(17) Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.  (18)  Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

This is what God called "the royal law" in James 2:8 KJV and there is a reason for this in the law, and in every dispensation. The people of God are to be holy (Leviticus 19:2) and we are to observe his statutes and judgments and DO THEM (Leviticus 19:37). If we do not love our neighbor as our self and we do suffer sin upon them that sin will grow into more sin and spread to others going unchecked by the righteous judgment of God.

And it will be as Jesus says in Matthew 24:12 about the signs of the end...

Matthew 24:12 KJV
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

Iniquity abounds and men no longer have love for their neighbor according to scripture. No one has the judgment of God magnified in their lives. People keep doing more and more abominable things, turning into Sodom and Gomorrah. And those who you think would care have only turned the blind eye saying something to the effect of, "if that is what they want to do that is on them. Or, "they can do that as long as I do not have to see it". And then next thing you know, we have a generation of elders saying, "people today are worse then anything I have ever seen. How did it get so bad?". Well it got so bad because no one took the stand to correct others. And we had a generation of laziness with a lack of discipline from the generation before them. And the ones before them thought they needed to have newer and better versions of the Bible. Believing they are smarter now and have found more truth: (Never minding that they keep comparing things back to the King James Bible, they say to themselves, "it is too hard to understand and live by. Give us a new version that is easier".) And things only got worse from there, but still they wonder how it got so bad.

And with all this if there be an individual to stand and reprove others through the proper judgment of God and have that love to correct the iniquity that it does not abound... He is only going to be hated and called the evil doer because he does not do the same as them... and this according to the word of God...

Proverbs 29:27 KJV
An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.

Romans 3:11 KJV
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

1 Peter 3:16 KJV
Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

So where do stand on this, with the world or with the Lord?
Do you love your neighbor as yourself?
Are you ashamed to rebuke a wrong doing?
Do you understand true love according to scripture or not?

Here is the true love... As Jesus has loved us, and as a parent should love their child.

... a commandment ...
John 14:15 KJV If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 15:12 KJV  This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

... how Jesus loves us, is as we should love one another ...
Revelation 3:19 KJV  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

... a parents love, and the lack of chastening is actually hatred ...
Proverbs 13:24 KJV  He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.
