Part I: Understanding Water Baptism and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost

Part I: Understanding Water Baptism and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost
Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

To properly understand baptism according to the holy scriptures you need to have the holy scriptures open and follow along through this study. Please have a King James Bible with you and turn to the scriptures as I present them in this video.
You must rightly divide the word of truth.

  • Are you baptized by water or by the Spirit?
  • Which baptism saves?
  • Who baptizes us?

These questions are answered by diligently searching the word of God and comparing scripture with scripture.
If you are still a babe and unskilful in the word of righteousness (Hebrews 5:13-14), then take the time to pause and meditate upon the verses that are presented to you. Receive the word of God to be plain and simple, it says what it means and means what it says.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Don't be a slothful servant and bring shame upon yourself. Be diligent to your duties and STUDY. Then your desire for understanding will be fulfilled.

Proverbs 21:25 The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.
