Part II: How to Know You Are Baptized by the Holy Ghost
1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
The only way to know that you are baptized by the Holy Ghost is to read the word of the Lord. There are many traditions of men that make up their own doctrines by handling the word of God deceitfully. It is important to have an understanding according to the scriptures by rightly dividing, reading in context, and comparing scripture with scripture.
Some traditions say, You must speak with tongues to know you are baptized by the Holy Ghost.
But what do the scriptures say on this matter? How do you know you are baptized by the Holy Ghost?
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Acts 4:31 ¶ And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
John 8:47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.
