Salvation Of Jesus Christ The Lord

Salvation Of Jesus Christ The Lord

Here is the simplicity of the gospel...

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  (4)  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

If you actually believe this you will keep it in memory. Knowing first how it worked in you and also understanding that only by the gospel does someone get saved.

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 KJV  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  (2)  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

Once you understand and believe this... (and I mean truly believe it as mentioned above.) Then you have what is the power of God unto salvation.

Romans 1:16 KJV  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Once you believe, GREAT! Now call on the name of the Lord, call on Jesus. if you understand then you have been preached to, heard, then believed, and then called on the Saviour knowing you can not save yourself.

Romans 10:13-14 KJV  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  (14)  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

It is not by your personal belief that you are saved. Even the devils believe and tremble... Are you going to think they are saved??? Don't fool yourself salvation is not in belief only.

James 2:19 KJV  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Furthermore on the other end of this is fulfilling of a work to be saved. But remember we are saved by grace through faith. And if saved by grace, it can not be of works, otherwise grace is no more grace but works.

Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  (9)  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Romans 11:6 KJV  And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

And no calling / confessing with the mouth is not a work. If it is a work to call out for help then no parent has grace for their children when they cry. The thing is that we can only call on the one who can save. it is not in anything of yourself to get saved but only by calling on him who has the faith to save... Bare in mind Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith after all.

Hebrews 12:2 KJV  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Galatians 2:16 KJV  Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

And so yes cry out to the Lord Jesus our Saviour to get saved today there is no other way.

Romans 10:3-4 KJV  For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.  (4)  For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Romans 10:8-10 KJV  But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;  (9)  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  (10)  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2 KJV  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
