Ten Plagues on Egypt: The Forgotten Judgments of God
Exodus 9:16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
Exodus 9:16 declares the reason God judges in the earth. To shew his power, and that his name is declared throughout all the earth. (Easy to remember because they both have chapter 9 verse 16)
Psalms 9:16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

Although the ten plagues on Egypt are a forgotten judgment many people still think about these judgments because of modern movies and news people saying "a disaster of biblical proportions".
The scriptures even say that Israel forgat the works of God. The very people God redeemed with these great plagues forgot what God did for them.
Psalms 106:7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
Psalms 106:13 They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
Psalms 106:21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
The reason for this series on the forgotten judgments of God is to stir up your pure minds, brethren, by way of remembrance. God did these things in the earth and this is the same God today that we worship and serve. He is to be feared, we should know the terror of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 5:11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
