The Glory Never Departs From The Church

In the world today there are many deceivers who will use 1 Samuel 4:21-22 and deceitfully apply it to their building they call a church. They even go as far as to blasphemously say the glory is departed from the church. However, they do err not knowing the scriptures. The church is correctly defined in scripture as the body of Christ not a building with a steeple on it.

1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?,

The glory of God is not in a building and the “house of God” was the temple in Jerusalem (John 2:13-16) but is now the body of Christ.

John 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:,

Colossians 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.,

The truth that God does not dwell in temples made with hands has been established by God himself.

Acts 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,,

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
