The Ministry Of Reconciliation: Preach The Gospel

The Ministry Of Reconciliation: Preach The Gospel

We that are born again are all called in to the ministry of reconciliation. And in this ministry we are all, rather male or female, bond or free, called to be ambassadors of Christ to preach the gospel of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20 KJV  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  (19)  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.  (20)  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

This means that you are to represent Christ Jesus our Lord, no longer living for yourself, but for God through the Holy Spirit by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:1-2 KJV  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.  (2)  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Galatians 2:20 KJV  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

There are a lot of men who make extra stipulations on preaching the gospel after carnal ordinances. Some say only a Bishop or Decan can preach, or others say only those who have gone to school for it. Others say you can not do it alone but must go two by two or it is not of God. Some imply saying a woman can never preach, but only the men. Some even restrict preaching to only certain days.
All these men are only restricting the word of God and the gospel of Christ from being preached. As all who are in Christ Jesus are called to preach. If you are saved then you know the gospel and in this you know enough to preach to someone that they to can get saved.

Looking at the example of some saying a woman can NOT preach

Now of course a woman can NOT be a Bishop or Deacon:

A Bisohp and Deacon are to be the HUSBAND of ONE WIFE. A woman can not fulfil this prerequisite without being an abomination unto the word of God. By leaving the natural use of her body and to become a sodomitess.

1 Timothy 3:2 KJV  A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

Titus 1:6 KJV  If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

And a woman can not be the pastor or overseer of a congregation either. according to the following.

1 Corinthians 14:23 KJV  If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?,
1 Corinthians 14:26 KJV  How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
1 Corinthians 14:34 KJV  Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.

This is explicitly declared and easily understood.

However the word of God tells us a woman can prophecy. And prophets preach the word of the Lord according to the word of God.

1 Corinthians 11:5 KJV  But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
...Also...
Acts 2:17 KJV  And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
...compared too...
Nehemiah 6:7 KJV  And thou hast also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together.

So do not pretend that all the women who prophecy in the word of God are not preaching. The word of God straightly says prophets preach, how else do they make the word of God known. If even in a writing, would not this posting be considered a preaching on a matter. Nevertheless vain men and deceivers will try to limit and restrict the word of God from being preached as they always have. trying to put a yoke upon the people through a commandment of men implying to the word of God stretching or ignoring the context. Claiming a woman can not preach. And much more shamefully some say certain man only can preach... But God has called everyone born again to be his ambassador having their feet shod with the preparation of the gospel, that is to preach it.

So Can A Woman Preach At All:

There are those as mentioned just above who take this matter. Of how a woman can not preach when we are gathered together to another extreme. They go on refusing a woman to ever preach the gospel or teach upon any matter in the word of God openly at any time.
Other than adding their own stipulations which are never explicitly given for instruction in the word of God. these stipulations are only implied through the wisdom which man teaches: such as a woman can only teach other women, well what about Pricilla? Or a woman can only teach in private behind closed doors, what about the women that labored with Paul in the gospel? Or Does the word of God tell only men to have their feet shod with the gospel in Ephesians 6:15; or does it say only men are to approve themselves as the ministers of God in 2 Corinthians 6:4 not to receive the grace of God in vain 6:1 talking to son's and daughter's in 6:18?
So they that say a woman is not to ever preach, have to imply to the word of God to say such a thing. While hyper focusing on a single verse ignoring surrounding context. And need to imply more to dance around the following passage of scripture...

Titus 2:3-5 KJV  The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;  (4)  That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,  (5)  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

And these things that women are to teach are very important so the word of God is not blasphemed. Yet if a man says a woman is never to preach he is only advocating for the word of God to be blasphemed, and contend to restrict the gospel from being preached, teaching that woman are to receive the grace of God in vain. In these have such men caused a reproach speaking contradictions to the word of God, in so doing they blaspheme. (Consider Psalm 74:10 & Acts 13:45 for the scriptural definition of what it is to "blaspheme".)

What Those Who Restrict The Gospel Use To Say A Woman Can NOT Preach:

To the point in 1 Corinthians 14:34 as men have used this passage to say a woman can never preach the word of God. They take it out of context not understanding that it is when the church be come gathered together; as expressly described for context in two verses of the passage, verse 23 and 26. And this before verse 34 and 35 which men falsely use out of context, saying a woman can never preach.
(but again to say plainly, as at the first, A woman is not to be a bishop or deacon. However that does not mean she can never preach on the word of God.)

Now lets look at the two main passages together that men have falsely used to say women can never preach the gospel.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35 KJV  Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.  (35)  And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
what law?
1 Timothy 2:11-14 KJV  Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.  (12)  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.  (13)  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.  (14)  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
what transgression?

Both of these passages are linked back to Genesis 3:16 And also Number chapter 30 which these gainsayers never break down in context. But they only hyper focus on the few words or a single verse to teach what they do. However, here below you will see what law and what transgression according to scripture is being referenced. And how the woman was told her husband shall rule over her. This is the law that was set forth which was referenced in 1 Corinthians 14:34. And it is also the recompense for the transgression brought up in 1 Timothy 2:14. in which Eve being deceived she was cursed with multiplied sorrows in bringing forth children, and was put under her husband not all men.

Genesis 3:16 KJV  Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The Woman Is To Be In Obedience To HER OWN Husband, NOT Every Man:

Understand not every man that has authority over every woman but her husband... and or also an overseer, bishop, Deacon being established.

A woman does not submit herself unto another man when she has a husband. And before that she is under her father (refer to Numbers 30:16). Now of course there are those who are over us in the faith that look out for our souls, such as a Bishop, Deacon, and Overseer of various types. Consider the phrase "usurp authority" as in 1 Timothy 2:12. How could a woman usurp the authority of someone if they have no authority over her? (her husband, Father or Bishop, Deacon/overseer.) Consider a court trial, anyone standing up trying to give a jail sentence would be usurping the authority of the judge in a court room. However, when in your own home giving timeout to a child, there is no authority to usurp. So to when a woman preaches to a lost man, or even corrects another brother in Christ. There was no authority to usurp outside of when we come together as the church.

Again she is to be obedient to her own husband, scripture never says otherwise, as much as some try to imply that it does. And this becomes important to understand as those who say a woman can never preach often go to extremes saying all men have authority over all women.

The scriptures explicitly say for the Wives to submit themselves unto their own husbands in the following passages, which go back to the law set forth over the woman in Genesis 3:16. And as well for the law in Numbers chapter 30 for authority in a marriage and household. To say anything further than this is only to add to the word of God (Proverbs 30:6). As no passage of scripture says every man is over every woman. That is only ever taught through implication by a private interpretation of scripture (2 Peter 1:19-20).
Ephesians 5:22-24; Colossians 3:18; Titus 2:5; 1 Peter 3:1, 3:5

Even as in 1 Corinthians 11:3... If you want to say the head of every woman is the man, then you also have to say the head of every man is Christ... But that just isn't true even according to the word of God.

2 Corinthians 6:15-16 KJV  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?  (16)  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

So don't fool yourself, not all men are saved with Christ as their Head. Just the same as a woman only has her husband as her head. After all marriage is a picture of Christ and the church. So this concept set forth in Genesis 3:16 comes into play again.

Ephesians 5:24 KJV  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Ephesians 5:32 KJV  This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Women Prophesying:

Let alone some of the fools who say a woman can never preach, will make exceptions and say she can prophecy, because of 1 Corinthians 11:5. But then these men go on to imply things to the word of God that ain't there, saying "to prophecy is not to preach". I even seen a man go to ever verse of scripture that mentions preaching, yet they ignore Nehemiah 6:7 as quoted above for the understanding of what it is to prophecy. These same fools will also go onto to say all women are under all men and a man is never subject unto a woman, but this contradicts scripture. There is Huldah the prophetess as well as Deborah in the Old Testament, let alone Anna in Luke 2:36-38 as well as a mans daughter mentioned in Acts 21:9 which prophesied. Are men supposed to ignore the word of God when it comes from a woman? This sounds absurd but the fools in context, whom say a woman can never preach, think you should ignore the word of God when it is preached by a woman.
They do ere not knowing the scriptures to say such a thing.
Lets just look at this comparing scripture with scripture...

1 Corinthians 11:5 KJV  But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

so a woman can clearly prophecy with in this verse... And when Jesus stood up to preach he gave exhortation.

Luke 3:18 KJV  And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.

And we can understand that to prophecy is to give an exhortation as well according to scripture... making both of these, rather to exhort or to prophecy, ways of preaching according to the word of God.

1 Corinthians 14:3 KJV  But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

but the spirit of the prophets are SUBJECT unto the prophets... So with their own logic there is folly. What a mockery they make of themselves.

1 Corinthians 14:32 KJV  And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

The matter comes down to allowing the word of God to say what it means and mean what it says.
A woman is to be a teacher of good things according to Titus 2:3. And then we have this next verse! So what is a more good thing then the gospel of peace?

Romans 10:15 KJV  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Women Are Ambassadors For Christ As Much As Men Once Born Again:

It never gives instruction for when this can not be done, other than when we come together as the church. And also that the woman is not to usurp the authority of the man; Her husband as well as of a Bishop or Deacon which she could never be according to scripture.
Notwithstanding she can and should preach the word of God especially the gospel wherever and whenever the opportunity arises. Furthermore a woman should do it with all authority through Christ Jesus which is in her! Is it not the same by the same Spirit that a woman is saved?

Galatians 3:28 KJV  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5:20 KJV  Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

2 Corinthians 6:1 KJV  We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 KJV  But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

Hebrews 13:6 KJV  So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Women Are Fellowlabourers In The Gospel:

Now just as much as Timothy was called a fellowlabourer in Christ by Paul. Paul also called some women fellowLabourers in the gospel of Christ.

1 Thessalonians 3:2 KJV  And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

Philippians 4:3 KJV  And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

And yes If you are born again you have been sent. Going back to the thing at the top how we are called to be ambassadors for Christ in 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 once we are born again, and all things are become new. And we are all fellowlabourers together in the gospel to preach the gospel by the word of God. There is no discrepancy. Even by the mouth of Jesus himself he has sent us all without discrepancy being made. Besides was it not Mary Magdalen who first saw the Lord after that he rose from the dead to share the good news to the other disciples, was she not sent by Jesus.

John 17:18 KJV  As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

Mark 16:9-10 KJV  Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.  (10)  And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

the passage about being an ambassador makes no discrepancy between male or female. Neither does the passage speaking about the armour of God in Ephesians 6, where it tells us to have on our feet the preparation of the gospel of peace in verse 15. Neither does the passage about not receiving the grace of God in vain, approving ourselves as the ministers of God, separating ourselves to be the son's and daughters of the Lord Almighty in 2 Corinthians 6:1-18.

If a woman gives heed to false teachings telling her she can not preach at all, or only under certain circumstances she can. Then she has been trained to hesitate and not be prepared with the gospel as she should be. Because she will think first if it is lawful or not for her to preach at that moment. But we have no such law in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free.
Just the same as if a man hesitates to take a shot when shooting at a rabbit or target practice, thinking rather or not he wants to waste the bullet. He has trained himself to hesitate and think rather than react in a moment of true need.

If we follow after the Spirit and not the flesh there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23). But carnal minded fools add ordinances by commandments of men implying things to the word of God. Even in restricting and limiting the gospel and the word of God from being preached. Showing that they follow after the flesh rather than the Spirit being puffed up in their fleshly mind no longer holding to the Head Christ Jesus, but rather they hold the traditions and rudiments of this world to be more important.

Colossians 2:18-22 KJV  Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,  (19)  And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.  (20)  Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,  (21)  (Touch not; taste not; handle not;  (22)  Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

GO AND PREACH:

Now with all this in mind Preach the word of God! without implied restrictions of any sort.

Men you are doubly so without excuse with all this that is mentioned here. Be an ambassador for Jesus Christ the Lord, our Saviour, with confidence.

Do not take heed to hindering ordinances, or any particulars implied to the word of God about preaching and sharing the gospel today. For all the word of God is profitable and we should all preach because the time will come and dare I say has come; wherein men will not endure sound doctrine, but will heap to them selves teachers having itching ears. People would rather not take the responsibility themselves, but just let someone else do things for them. These are they that follow after fables making implications to the word of God, often hyper focusing on a single verse rather than reading and studying out the context to show themselves approved unto God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV  All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  (17)  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 4:1-4 KJV  I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;  (2)  Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  (3)  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  (4)  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Preach The Gospel:

  • Romans 3:24 KJV  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
  • Romans 10:14-15 KJV  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  (15)  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
  • 2 Corinthians 6:1 KJV  We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
  • Ephesians 4:1 KJV  I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
  • Ephesians 6:15 KJV  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
  • 1 Thessalonians 2:4 KJV  But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 KJV  Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,  (17)  Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Here are laid out seven key verses of scriptures to say you must preach the gospel if you are born again. And there are much more, watch these video Bible studies for more instruction on this in the word of God.
