There is One God, with One Name
There are many studies widely available about the "names" of God. But when we look at what the scripture truly says, we find that there is really just one name of God. It is "all thy name".
Psalms 138:2 KJV I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
For example, my name is Hannah Marie Erb. That is my full name. It is technically three words, but when asked for my full name (singular), all three are the correct answer. And, so, we can understand God in the same way. God has much more then three words to his name...but they are not names (plural), the scripture says, "all thy name" (singular).
This is very important because God has revealed himself by his name. The same name for the LORD in the Old Testament is given to The Lord Jesus in the New Testament. This truth confirms that Jesus is the same person as the Father and there are not three separate persons to God.
John 5:43 KJV I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
