What Does "Assay" Mean in the KJB?
Hebrews 11:29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

Once again, the word of the Lord has a beautiful majestic word. I found this word while reading Hebrews 11:29 and then soon remembered reading Job 4:2. The Lord revealed the meaning of this word to me while studying the word of God. Remember 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 and 2 Timothy 2:15.

The meaning of the word "assay" is similar to "an intention, a desire, a thought to go about doing something".
I have never seen this word used outside of the King James Bible which is becoming of the KJB because the word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Only God can read the intents of the heart such as the Egyptians assaying to pass through the Red sea.
