What Does "Even So" Mean In The KJB?
There is a little phrase that is used fifty-six times in the King James Bible. That phrase is "even so". The phrase is used to shew equality when comparing two things.
One example:
Joshua 14:11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.
Another example:
As the bird flew high, even so did I.
This phrase does not have the same meaning as those who use it in this day.... To some it means "nevertheless". However, God uses "even so" differently.
