What Do "Hap" & "Haply" Mean in the KJB?

What Do "Hap" & "Haply" Mean in the KJB?
Acts 5:39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

I have come across this word multiple times in the King James Bible and asked myself "What does it mean?". The first time I remember encountering this word was in Acts 17:27.

Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Then, while I was studying for this video I found the word "hap" in Ruth 2:3.
Then, it all connected in my mind by comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

The word "hap" describes the way you are moved to do a certain thing or go to a certain place. A way to understand this word is by the phrase, "It just so happened that way". The word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart and God uses words to make known what is going on in the heart.

It is amazing how the word of God can describe with verity what is going on in the heart of a person. That is how powerful God is; he is a God of truth. This is further proof how the King James Bible is not the words of men but the very words of God.

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Also, "haply" is a word that means "per chance" or "chances are" or "it may happen".

Please have your own King James Bible with you and turn to the scriptures as I present them in this study. Study the King James Bible by yourself and take the time to understand the words you are reading. The English of the King James Bible is simple if you actually read it and believe the written words are the words of God.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
1 Corinthians 2:12-13

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Psalms 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
